London Buses route 148 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between White City and Camberwell Green, it is operated by London United. ==History==
Route 148 was introduced between Shepherd's Bush and Camberwell Green on 5 October 2002 as one of a number routes in the leadup to the introduction of the London congestion charge. It initially used with Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL double deckers. Scania OmniCity double deckers were introduced in late 2006 along with some East Lancs Olympus bodied Scania N230UD double deckers in 2007. Route 148 was extended from Shepherd's Bush to White City on 29 November 2008, coinciding with the opening of Westfield London.〔(Press Release ) Transport for London〕〔(Press Release ) Transport For London]〕 New Routemasters were introduced on 15 February 2014. The rear platform remains closed at all times except for when the bus is at bus stops.〔(Press Release ) Transport For London〕 Buses currently terminate at Shepherd's Bush and do not continue onto White City during daytime hours.〔()〕
